Joanna Szumska, born in 1965. She graduated from the Fine Arts School in Warsaw. After graduating from school, she worked at the Baj puppet theater in the implementation of stage design projects, then for many years ran the marketing department of the printing company and in addition worked as graphics designer. During her stay in the USA, in 2001 she returned to her passion of painting and received the 1st prize at an exhibition organized by the art union in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In her own words: ‘My pictures are created spontaneously - everything starts with the white surface and the black line. I often don't know what kind of shapes and colors that emerge.
I'm fascinated by art in the interior, because image without interior seems to be lost, and even the most sophisticated interior without an image is empty.’
