Agata Krutul

Agata Krutul. Born in 1983 in Bialystok. Painter, teacher, stage designer. In the years 2004 - 2007 she studied at the Art Department of the Institute of Fine Arts of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. She defended her diploma in painting in the studio of Jan Gryka in 2007. Then in 2009 - 2012 she studied at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts Jan Matejko in Kraków, where she defended her master's degree in the studio of prof.

The artist collaborated with the Department of Puppet Theatre Arts of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Białystok and the Papahema Group. Since 2009 Agata Krutul has been a teacher of drawing and painting.

For work, she chooses small forms and spaces because she likes everything in details. Agata enlivens her paintings by doing most of the decorations for them herself. She plays with the subject grotesquely by placing it on the unattractive background. She often paints houses and boats, bicycles-hybrids. However, new topics are still emerging in her creative work.

"A million things at once, a million techniques, a million things that interest me, irritate me, they cause a million other feelings, they are an inspiration to act... I'm still surprising myself, so I cannot define my style and technique... It's just MY PERSONALITY.".
