Kristof Ludwin

Kristof Ludwin, painter and architect. Born in Krakow. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology (1981-1987) and finished the Institute of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts (1987-1988). From 1995 to 2006 he worked at the Faculty of Architecture, Krakow University of Technology, the Department of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture. In 2002 he published an album with his work entitled "Krakow in watercolor". In the years of 2003-2004, he worked as a lecturer in handwriting lessons at the bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Engineering in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 2006, he obtained his doctorate with his doctoral dissertation "Architectural sketches in watercolor techniques. History and present."
 
Since 2006 Kristof Ludwin was giving lectures about architectural design in the Institute of Design Architectural at the Department of Industrial Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology as a lecturer. He specializes in watercolor and design architecture.
 
Member of the ZPAP (Association of Polish Artists).
 
Creator and founding member of SAP (Polish Watercolors Association).
 
In 2011, a textbook on the subject: Learning from Polish Masters: "Learning to paint with watercolors" was published.

Krzysztof is also closely associated with Denmark. His adventure with Denmark began from painting with watercolors on the streets, and the works were sold with great success. In 1981-1983 he regularly was coming to Copenhagen, and this period always reminds Krzysztof of beautiful times.
The first exhibition in Copenhagen was held in 1981 at the Customs office in Copenhagen city, arranged by Erik Christensen. His another Danish exhibition was held in Amager where he was received with great interest.
 
Currently, he dedicates himself to experimental painting techniques with canvas and on canvas.
